My name is Yesenia Gutierrez. I have been practicing medicine in the Fort Worth area for 10 years now. I am the daughter of Mexican immigrant parents. I am a first-generation Mexican American who is fully bilingual in Spanish/English and understands both cultures. I was born in El Paso, Texas but grew up in southern California. I attended undergraduate school at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles), where I received my bachelor’s in science degree. I received my medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, previously known as TCOM. I went on to complete my pediatric residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. I am board certified in Pediatrics. I am married and have two children.
